ARO

ARO air operated double diaphragm pumps (AODD pumps) are designed for general fluid transfer. Reliably transfer a wide range of fluids from clean, light to medium viscosity. They can pump large particles without damage. Main advantages are the key components of the pneumatic pump – the pneumatic motor, no dead point, no stall motor, d-type valve structure, etc.

Ingersoll rand /ARO pneumatic diaphragm pump provides zero dead point, zero freezing point operation. “No dead point” unbalanced valve design will not form a dead point when the pump stops, to avoid the possibility of failure of other machines connected to the pump. “Quick-dump” exhaust valve removes damp-cold exhaust gas through the main valve to reduce icing on the pump.

With 90 years of superior product performance and outstanding service, ARO Pumps offers pneumatic diaphragm pumps, piston pumps and packages, filters, regulators, lubricators, lubrication equipment, and pneumatic valves and cylinders, and provides fluid handling equipment to customers and industries worldwide, including chemical, manufacturing, energy, pharmaceutical, mining and more.

Rugged and reliable in tough conditions

ARO diaphragm pumps are expertly designed to go the distance, even in the harshest environments.

Our pumps feature maximum flow and minimal pulsation and air consumption. Our patented unbalanced air valve design ensures stall-free, ice-free operation. Thanks to their pneumatic motors, our diaphragm pumps can be used in potentially explosive areas.

ARO diaphragm pumps are a reliable, cost-effective choice for industrial and chemical applications. Our bolted, leak-free construction eliminates cross-contamination and increases operator safety. Modular construction, reduced parts count and easy-to-use service kits reduce repair time and costs.

Our pumps undergo rigorous testing – well beyond typical industrial use – to ensure your ARO diaphragm pump is built to last.

Customize your air diaphragm pump to your application

ARO diaphragm pumps are available in many flow rates and sizes, allowing you to change the flow outlet and discharge pressure. Our pumps can run as slow as 0.26 gallons (1 liter) per minute and up to 275 gallons (1,079 liters) per minute for larger pump sizes. Set fluid pressure to 125 psi.(8.6 bar) using an air filter/regulator and needle valve.

Each ARO diaphragm pump can be customized to meet your fluid transfer needs. Choose from a wide range of diaphragm materials, casing options, and accessories. Find metal or plastic fluid components and housings that can handle any fluid (including corrosives and abrasives).

Advantages:

  • Wide range of applications
  • Unique seal-less design
  • Explosion-proof
  • Low material shear
  • Low maintenance requirements
  • Can be dried out without damage
  • Self-priming
  • Easy to install
  • Most models are ATEX certified

Ingersoll-Rand’s ARO brand provides fluid handling products for the global chemical, manufacturing, energy, pharmaceutical, and mining industries, especially high-quality air-operated diaphragm pumps

Ingersoll Rand ARO is a global diversified industrial company, founded in 1871. In recent years, Ingersoll Rand has gradually transformed into a manufacturing enterprise with a wide range of branded products, serving customers in different fields around the world, and changing its previous heavy machinery manufacturing business model, which required high capital investment. Pneumatic diaphragm pumps, plunger pumps and packaging, filters, regulators, lubricators, lubrication equipment and so on.

Diaphragm pump is the main component of diaphragm, it is related to the normal work of pneumatic diaphragm pump. Different pneumatic diaphragm pump diaphragm materials have different functions.

ARO pneumatic diaphragm pumps are powered by compressed air, nitrogen or natural gas. The main directional (pneumatic) control valve distributes compressed air to the gas chamber, applying uniform pressure to the inner surface of the diaphragm. At the same time, the exhaust gas is discharged from the other side of the pump through the valve assembly guide port. Pneumatic double diaphragm pump cavity gas pressure exceeds the liquid chamber pressure, diaphragm connecting rod moving back and forth, discharge on one side, suction on the other side. The direction of discharge and suction is controlled by the direction of check valves (ball or sheet valves). Suction stroke causes the pump to perform suction. Suction stroke can reduce chamber pressure and increase chamber volume. This creates an atmospheric pressure differential that pushes the liquid through the suction line, through the suction side check valve, and into the external liquid chamber. Suction side stroke can also start the reciprocating (displacement, stroke or cycle) movement of the pump. Pneumatic double diaphragm pump through the stroke mechanical pull suction diaphragm mobile pneumatic double diaphragm pump inner plate and aligned drive plunger contact, mobile guide spool. After the activation of the guide valve, it sends a pressure signal to the other end of the main directional air valve, and the pneumatic double diaphragm pump changes the direction of the compressed air to the other side of the internal chamber so that the repeated movement of the medium is completed.
